A man has been arrested after leading police on a two county chase. It began in Carter County and ended with the arrest of Damien Slocum on Highway 36 in Gray. A Carter County deputy tried to stop Slocum for a traffic violation. That's when he hit the deputy with his car and fled the scene. The deputy was treated and released at a local hospital. The chase wound through Johnson City and onto Interstate 26 to Gray. (jb)
