Man Indicted For Trying To Kill State Trooper
A Washington County, Tennessee grand jury has indicted Derrick Kitzmiller for the attempted murder of a Tennessee State Trooper. The charges against Kitzmiller come from a high speed chase and shootout that happened January 3rd. He is alleged to have fired at least two shots at Trooper Jeff Appleba. The trooper returned at least 14 shots in the incident. It's not known why Kitzmiller shot at the trooper. He's also charged with evading arrest and reckless endangerment. (jb)
