A Kingsport man has been arrested and charged with assaulting his pregnant girlfriend. 40 year old Christopher Hughes is alleged to have placed a pillow over the woman's head before pushing her to the floor. The woman is seven months pregnant. Hughes fled the area before police could arrive, but was captured the next day. He is also facing drug charges and driving on a revoked license. (jb)
