Alpha Natural Resources is saying that they have no plans to reopen any of their idled mines. We were the first to tell you last week about a company taking applications to fill more than 800 coal mining jobs in Virginia and Kentucky. Professional Contracting has been soliciting applications for the jobs they say are coming back. Thousands of people have already applied for the jobs. (jb)
