Fugitive Arrested, Booked and Held Bond Till Monday
Johnson City Officers arrested Richard J Shelby of Highland Avenue on a Fugitive from Justice Warrant. Officers stopped him on a traffic violation when he failed to yield. During an on site investigation they discovered that the suspect was wanted on two warrants out of Lafourche Parish Louisiana for 1st Degree Murder and Distribution of Crack Cocaine. Shelby was booked at the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held on a 250-thousand dollar bond and will face a Monday arraignment in General Sessions Court. (bg)
