Kingsport Police Officers responded to a motor vehicle collision on Lynn Garden Drive. Due to the severity of the crash, the Traffic Division was requested and it was discovered that a 1998 Honda Accord traveling southbound left the right side of the roadway and struck a power pole. The Driver Lindsay Trent and his passenger Mark Trent were both transported to Holston Valley Medical Center with serious injuries by Sullivan County EMS but both died as a result of their injuries. According to statements and an inspection of the vehicle it was determined that they were not wearing their seat belts. (bg)
