Hawkins County Drugs and Weapons Arrest
Officers in Hawkins county making an arrest for unpaid child support led to the arrest of two men on drug charges and the confiscation of several weapons including a cannon. Officers went to Belmont avenue residence in Mount Carmel where they were searching for 31-year-old Adam Blair for failure to pay child support. His roommate 31-year-old Eric Lindholm let police in to the home to see that Blair was not there. Officers say when they entered a portion of the downstairs they saw a bong and smelled the odor of marijuana…they left the residence to get a search warrant. It took police about eleven hours to get that search warrant but no worries for authorities…when they arrived they found Blair at home with Lindholm and a search revealed marijuana…one ounce in a dresser and a smaller amount on Lindholm. Police say they also found things like bongs, shredders, pipes, and a gas mask used for inhaling the drug. Police also found a cannon, an AR-15 assault rifle, and an assortment of other guns. Police have charged both men were charged in the incident and Blair also faces the original charge that brought police to the home. (CC)
