Bristol Teacher Killed
A Bristol elementary school teacher has been killed in a two vehicle traffic crash in Florida. According to the Florida Highway Patrol 61-year-old Mary Horne Shaffer was a passenger in a pickup truck that was slammed from behind by a large motor home recreational vehicle Thursday on Interstate 95. The driver of the pickup she was riding in, David Wilkenson of Danville, Virginia was also killed the crash. They were stopped at a construction site. She was a 4th grade teacher at Washington and Lee Elementary in Bristol Virginia. She had been with the city school system over 30 years.(CS)
