Five Points Closes
They were open until 7pm on Sunday then closed the doors one last time...five points grocery...a Jonesborough legacy is now closed. The store is set to be demolished by the Department of Transportation for a new roundabout road project to begin later this year. The traffic circle to be located at Five Points will see heavy traffic, especially farm trucks driving produce and students going to and from Crockett High School. Those who will miss the store shouldn't worry...a long-time employee of the store has plans to move a store into another local business location. It will be just a couple of miles from the location of the soon to be demolished five points store. It will be known only as the point. (CC)
