Couple Fakes Pregnancy for Scam
They made up a pregnancy and death of twins as a scam for donations. Rogersville couple, Irvin Henry Murrell III and Courtney Ladawn Murrell showed co-workers ultrasound photos saying they were pregnant and then photos of two dead babies and asked for money to help out with funeral expenses. One of the victims of the scam was the mother of one of Courtney Murrellís ex boyfriends. She said that Murrell contacted her about the pregnancy and said the victim was the grandmother. The husband and wife have both been charged with felony theft over $500.
