Backpack Program
Second Harvest of East Tennessee says over four-thousand children are being aided by their backpack program. The program is to help those children they do not get enough food to eat at home during times when school is not in session. Rhonda Chaffin is the Director of Second Harvest… Chaffin says right now the food bank is involved in the contest with Wal-Mart’s feed the hungry campaign. The are trying to win a 45-thousand dollar prize to help in funding the backpack program. (cc)
