Commissioners Say "No Deal"
The Sullivan County budget saga continues. The full commission heard reports from their attorney, James Logan about a settlement in a 2 Ĺ million dollar suit by Sullivan County Sheriff Wayne Anderson against the Mayor Steve Godsey and the County commission. 21 commissioners voted against a settlement, one abstained and two were absent. The decision goes against the advice of the countyís attorney. If a settlement canít be reached, the suit will go to court on April 24th.
