Mother Upset About Teacher's Slap on the Wrist
A mother is upset at Hawkins County Sheriff’s office and a local media outlet for what she says is misinformation about a case of a teacher sending inappropriate communications to her teenage daughter. The mother says the teacher got only a slap on the wrist from the school about the issue…she feels it should be a criminal charge. The teacher has not been charged with any crime in the incident. The Kingsport Times-News wrote a story on the issue but the mother has complained saying the police that were interviewed did not truly seem to relay how risque the messages were and how serious she feels the incident is…she also said they were private Facebook messages that the 25-year-old math teacher sent and some were as late as one in the morning.
