KPT Poacher
A Kingsport man faces charges after he is accused of poaching animals. Authorities say Ernie McMurray didn’t even get out of his car in Scott County, Virginia to kill the animals. He is charged with two counts of killing a turkey out of season…and counts each of shooting out of a vehicle, hunting on Sunday, shooting across a roadway, and trespassing. This is not the first arrest for McMurray on the type of charges. He spent time in jail and was fined for another incident where he poached four deer and four turkeys. The incident happened at the end of March…police say turkey-hunting season did not start until April 13th. (CC)
