KPT traffic overturn
Police say they are still investigating what happened today that caused a dump truck to overturn on Mooreland Drive in Kingsport. Gary L. Lawson was driving the truck for Vic Davis Construction. Lawson told police he was driving down a hill when his truck started sliding to the right. He turned his wheel to the left hoping to straighten out the truck…but that caused the right rear bumper to hit a guardrail causing it to lose balance and turn over. Lawson did receive injuries, but police say his use of a seatbelt prevented them from being more serious. The truck was the only vehicle involved in the accident,. (CC)
