Mother charged with neglect
Hawkins County is in trouble after police find her 12-year-old daughter sleeping on a couch covered with dogs. Police say there were seven dogs piled on top of the child at the Austin Mill Road home. They went there at around 4am on a domestic disturbance call. Police also say the house was filled with large quantities of trash in all the rooms. The mother told police she didnít clean because her daughter didnít help. The officer said he witnessed the dogs urinating on the couch where the child was sleeping. Department of Childrenís services were called to take custody of the girl. Police say the mother 35-year-old Crystal Gail Rosenbaum was charged and released from jail. (CC)
