Teens Charged With Shoplifting
Loss prevention officers caught three teenagers trying to steal clothing from JC Penny in the Johnson City Mall. Police say 18-year old Ashlyn York of Mount Carmel, 18-year old Audrey Cashon of Gray, and a juvenile took several items of merchandise into a changing room, concealed the items, and tried to leave the store without paying. All three have been charged with theft over $500. York and Cashon will appear in Washington County General Sessions Court on May 6th. The minor will face Johnson City Juvenile court on a different date. (JH)
