Hawkins County Authorities Shut Down Drug Operation
Hawkins County officials uncovered a drug trafficking operation in Rogersville. Members of the Narcotics Unit seized drugs, cash, guns, eight vehicles and a motorcycle from Walter Leon Trent. While conducting a search on his property, police found video monitoring and recording devices, motion sensors and alarms that alerted Trent that vehicles were approaching his home. They also found $1,700 in cash that police believe to be proceeds from illegal drug sales. Trent was arrested and charged with numerous crimes and later posed $200,000 bail. He’ll be back in court on May 22nd. (JH)
