Local High School Ranks High in Nationwide Report
Students and teachers in Glade Spring are giving our area good name. U.S. News and World Report ranked Patrick Henry High School in the top 15 percent of Virginia high schools. The report says more than 30 percent of Patrick Henry Rebels participate in advanced placement classes and tests. This is the second year in a row the southwest Virginia school has received a silver rating, indicating how the school ranks nationally. Abingdon, Virginia High and John Battle all received a bronze ranking. (JH)
