Park Theft Arrest for a Lesson
Blountville Elementary School students may have learned a good lesson by observing an incident at Steele Creek Park. A teacher left her purse unattended at an outing with her students at the city park. After being notified of suspicious purchases made on her account, the teacher discovered her credit card was stolen. Sullivan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Jorge Cervantes from photo images when the card was used at several locations. He is facing charges in the Blountville Jail.(CS)
