JC Attempted Murder Trail Set to Begin Today
Itís been over a year since Washington County, TN Deputy Gary Daugherty was hit by a car. Now the three Johnson City residents accused in the crime are headed to court. 20- year old Dalvin Stephens, the driver of the car, along with 43-year old Reginald Dewayne Smith and 19-year old Ashley Nicole McGraw are accused of attempted first-degree murder as they hit Daugherty while trying to evade a robbery arrest. Jury selection is scheduled to begin today from the January 2, 2012 incident after being delayed in January of this year. All three have remained jailed since their arrest. Daugherty is still recovering from his injuries and has not been able to return to work.
