Blue cross letters
The negotiation between Mountain States Health Alliance and Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance of Tennessee has taken a new turn. They aren’t any closer to negotiating a deal, but members of Blue Cross Blue Shield sent out letters to their customers asking them to contact members of the Mountain States Health Alliance board to ask them to push for an agreement between the two entities. The two agreed to a one- month extension to come to an agreement…so as it stands now…July 1st will be the last date that Mountain States is an in-network provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield. Blue Cross says it is offering the health care provider the same rates they pay larger hospitals…but Mountain States is demanding more. (CC)
