Methadone Clinic Hearing
Even though a resolution opposing the need for a Johnson City methadone clinic was unanimously approved by the Washington County Commission, the Tennessee Health Services and Development Agency will still hold a public hearing on the matter later this month. Tri-Cities Holding, LLC wishes to open the clinic on Wesley Court in Johnson City after research showed hundreds of people in our area need opiate-addiction treatment. The meeting will be at the Johnson City Public Library on May 28th at 5 p.m. Currently the closest methadone clinics are in Asheville and Knoxville. (JH)
