Man Bomb Threat
He did not want to go to court for his misdemeanor charge, but for 28-year-old Jason David Nichols there is nothing wrong with committing a felony to get out of court. The man was arrested after police in Lee County received phone records that show Nichols not only made the calls, but did so right outside the courthouse. He was there for failure to pay a fine..which is a misdemeanor offense…when he called the Treasurer’s office and then the County Administrator’s office thirty minutes later. The calls were short saying only that there was a bomb in the building. Police arrested him at his home on Blackwater after phone records revealed he was the culprit. (CC)
