Adcock Dies
A young man battling effects from a rare disease has died. Josh Adcock was 8-years-old and suffered from a form of dwarfism caused by the disease Shimke immune-osseous dysphasia that led Adcock to need a kidney transplant. Josh lost his battle with this rare disease on Thursday. Remarkably, though the disease is so very rare..a second child in the tri-cities has the same disease…her name is Piper Smith and she is also undergoing testing with doctors at Vanderbilt University Medical center as she is in need of a transplant as well.
