Interstate Crash Claims Two Lives
A head on crash shut down part of I-26 over the weekend. Police say a woman in a 1999 Toyota Camry was driving the wrong way on the east bound lane the interstate when she hit a 2002 Toyota Camry head on. Officers say both drivers died as a result of their injuries from the crash. The names of the drivers are not being released pending notification of next of kin. Officers with the Kingsport Police Department Traffic Unit are continuing to investigate and as of right now, they cant say if drugs, alcohol or speed were factors in the crash.
