Bean Station Shooting
A one time police officer has been charged with 2 counts of murder in a Thursday morning shooting spree in a Bean Station Pharmacy. 37- year old Jason Brian Holt was trying to rob Down Home Pharmacy on Main Street when the planned stick-up for drugs turned into a double murder. Shot and killed was store owner Stephen Lovell of Morristown and drug store customer, Richard Alexander Summerville of Bean Station. Two female pharmacy techs were critically wounded by Holt and air lifted to a Knoxville hospital and are reported in stable condition. The shooter was a former Bean Station Town officer and was briefly a Grainger County Sheriff’s Deputy about 10 years ago. He was reportedly seeking Oxycodone. TBI Investigators and District Attorney General Jimmy Dunn were working late last night on the list of formal charges against Holt. (CS)
