Sullivan County Considers Extra Security
A committee you may have never heard of, the Sullivan County’s Courtroom Security Committee wants better security barriers in offices linked to the county’s court system in Blountville, Bristol and Kingsport. Unlike other county operations, they have a surplus of about $55,000 for this fiscal year thanks to aggressive court collections. They’re looking at adding glass partitions and full-size doors to offices to help create a barrier against county employees and a potentially angry public. (JH)
