Hawkins County Deputy Robbed
A Hawkins County Sheriff's deputy has reported the burglary at his home while he was away on vacation. Deputy Sheriff Rusty Ferrell reported is service weapon, a 45 caliber Glock was stolen from his home on old Webster Valley Road . Detective Daniel Byington developed a suspect in the theft of the service automatic. 22-year-old Dustin Alan Caldwell was contacted. He is a neighbor. He confessed to the detective of stealing the gun and it is theorized it was traded for drugs. (CS)
