Man Arrested Right After Getting Out of Jail
Johnson City police have stopped a merchandise exchange scheme. 27-year old Daniel Culler of Elizabethton shoplifted items from the Belk’s store in Johnson City. He would return the stolen merchandise to get a gift card. He would use the gift card and then sell those to Katie Cash on Roan Street as if they still had value. Culler was already in jail in Carter County when Johnson City Police got their arrest warrant, so when he was released from one jail, he went straight to the other. Culler will be in court this morning to face his charges out of Johnson City.
