Racing Charges
A man is facing multiple charges in a motorcycle drag racing incident that happened June 12th. 46-year-old Eddie Lee Perkins was arrested after police witnessed Perkins and another person on a motorcycle drag racing on State of Franklin road. Police tried to pull the two over, but Perkins turned onto another road and continues to run from police. He was stopped after he hit gravel that slowed him down. Officers reported that Perkins had clouded eyes and smelled of alcohol. Perkins proceeded to assault an officer while they were at a local hospital doing a blood alcohol test, and then had to be carried out the door kicking a screaming. Officers retrained his legs and took him to the county detention center. (CC)
