Whitten gets key
A hometown hero is getting recognition in Carter County today. Football player Jason Whitten received the key to the city of Elizabethton. It was presented to him on the main stage at the Covered Bridge Festival going on in downtown Elizabethton this weekend. Whitten grew up in the city and played high school football there before going on to play for the Dallas Cowboys as one of their star players. Whitten is not just in town to get an award. He also teaches a free football camp each year to give back to the community. (CC)
