Bluff City Alderman Cited by Fellow Board Members
Members of Bluff City’s Board of Mayor and Alderman just can’t seem to get along. The board decided to move forward with a lawsuit against Alderman Melvin Carrier. He was cited in April of last year for failing comply with the town’s property maintenance ordinance. A judge fined Carrier $50 per day of non-compliance. That fine now totals over $6,600. Fellow board member Lon Gene Leonard is quoted as saying Bluff City’s attorney should "seize the assets that are available to pay this debt.” The case goes to court on August 16th
