Capital Improvement Projects Could Be on Hold
The Washington County, TN budget committee will meet again tomorrow to discuss their options after a tight vote by commissioners. Mayor Dan Eldridge proposed $10 million in capital improvement projects including replacing the county’s asphalt plant and over 20 others, but commissioners said no. Mayor Eldridge says the county should act now while interest rates are so low. The vote was 13 to 12.
