Man Accused With Rape Has Charges Dropped
A man accused of rape on June 17th is now a free man. Authorities dropped charges against 37-year old Scotty Lee Bishop. The alleged victim in the case recanted her accusations and refused to testify against him. The woman claimed Bishop gave her a pill, held her down and raped her. .Bishop admitted giving the woman a pill that was intended to arouse her. The case can be reopened if more evidence comes available. Prosecutors are currently trying to decide if they will charge the woman for false reporting.
