Baby abuser arrested
She was only 18-days-old when she was taken to a hospital with bruising over her entire body. On Wednesday morning the baby’s father was released from one area jail, arrested, and charged with abuse and neglect in the incident. Sgt. Don Shepard with Johnson City Police says the injuries the baby had was not consistent with the story the parents told… “It was an investigation that DCS initiated because a child was taken to Johnson City Medical Center with injuries that weren’t consistent with the story they told. We brought them in and interviewed them and their stories didn’t explain the injuries either.” 40-year-old Mark Vincent Kendall has a 10-thousand dollar bond. That is the same as his wife 29-year-old Melissa Hyatt Kendall when she was first arrested on the same charges. A judge has since raised her bond to 100-thousand dollars due to the nature of the crime and the baby girl’s substantial and numerous injuries. (CC)
