Trial Delay
A trial in Lee County has been delayed because the person that analyzed evidence in currently in Afghanistan and there is no clear date for returning to the area. The delay of trial means that Tim Carter, arrested on first-degree murder charges, could be released from prison until the Commonwealth’s Attorney re-files the charges. Tim Carter is accused of shooting his wife Amy Carter in the throat in 2011. (CC)
