BRMC Stroke Award
Bristol Regional Medical Center received high honors for the success of their stroke center. Stroke Center Director Dr. Earl Wilson…. “The Gold Plus Award, it’s an award for having two years of the distinction of perfect quality on our stroke care.” They are the only hospital in the region to get such an award, and Dr. Wilson says it is because of all the medical professionals who treat the stroke patients “We have a great team. We have EMS in the area, we have an Emergency Department that is excellent, and then we have the hospital facilities and the hospital rehabilitation that contributes to it.” Wilson also says having facilities with so much medical technology available makes them better able to do their jobs.
