Tax Increase for Carter County Property Owners
Property owners in Carter County will soon have to pay more taxes. The county's budget committee voted to raise the rate from $2.15 to $2.33 per $100 of assessed value. The $0.18 increase means if your home is valued at $100,000, you'll pay an extra $180 per year.
