2 charged in JC robbery
A Johnson City woman was robbed in her car by two men Monday. While Carol Mathes was at a stop sign at Main and Boone in Johnson City, she said two men robbed her. She said the older man put his hand on her throat while pulling her hair, and demanded money. The younger frisked her and found 35 dollars. Mathes found a police officer and reported the incident. Later 53 year old Arthur Bass and 41 year old William McAllister were arrested and both received a 50 thousand dollar bond and await arraignment in General Sessions Court on Monday, July 15th.(gw)
