Women charged for elderly abuse
All three plead guilty of willfully abusing the elderly and face sentencing. The three CNA’s formerly with Appalachian Christian Village nursing home were accused of spraying patients with water, just for kicks. Rebecca Blevins, 39; Jessica Ketterman, 22; and Jennifer Ketterman, 20, all of Elizabethton, all plead guilty to two counts of willful abuse, neglect or exploitation of a dependent adult. They now face one to two years in prison. 33 year old Amanda Adolphi of Gray pleaded guilty for failure to report abuse and faces almost a year in jail. Judge Jon Kerry Blackwood has scheduled a Sept. 9 sentencing hearing for the women.(gw)
