Driver flees police with child in car
Early Saturday morning Kingsport Police were on foot attempting serve a warrant, when 2 cars approached, going well over the speed limit. Officers flagged them down, but when they approached the vehicles, the 2nd one took off. One officer got in his car and pursued. He saw the fleeing car wreck into culvert on Ridgeline drive. The driver, 23 year old Steven A. Sexton of Gate City, got out and ran. In the car, Police found a woman and her child who had been ejected from the car seat, but both were OK. They caught Sexton who has been charged with multiple felonies.
