Brothers Arrested After Chase
Had he not been drunk, a Kingsport man might have gotten away with stealing a backhoe. But his weaving on Hialeah Drive attracted police. 26-year old Johnny Steadman picked up his 24-year old brother Steven in his truck and they fled police. When officers got close, Steven Steadman jumped out of the truck and ran. Both were arrested.. Steven Steadman for theft over 60-thousand dollars, driving on a revoked license, driving under the influence and evading arrest. His brother Johnny Steadman with being an accessory and evading arrest. (SH)
