Back To School Tax Free Weekend Coming Up
Retailers and Virginia and Tennessee both are bracing for a sales tax holiday weekend for back-to-school sales. K-Mart on Peoples street is expecting be very busy. Manager Thomas Ervin says they are ready for the onslaught. Many stores are offering even better deals than the state sales tax holiday to lure in more and more customers in what has become the second largest single retail time for many businesses.State sales tax will be waived Friday, Saturday, & Sunday.(CS)
