DA Reviews Case Involving Police Shooting
You might remember an officer-involved shooting from June 2013 in Kingsport where 25-year old Jeffrey Caldwell threatened himself and police from atop a roof. The case has now moved on to the District Attorney’s office for review. Once it’s reviewed, it will move on to the grand jury. Caldwell was shot and taken to the hospital where he recovered. He’s now held in the Sullivan County Jail without bond. At this point, the DA’s office says they don’t have a timeline on when the case will move forward.
