School on soft lockdown
The Tennessee Highway Patrol have one man in custody and are still searching for two others after they fled from a police traffic stop in Hampton causing two schools to go on soft lockdown. The incident happening Friday when officers were at the intersection of Crook Street and First Avenue doing a seatbelt check. During the stop two men and a woman ran from the scene. This caused them to do a soft lockdown at Hampton Elementary and Hampton High School for precautionary measures. An officer stayed on the ground of the school for the duration of the day. Arrested in the incident 46-year-old Clinton Campbell. Police have not released any information about why the three were running from police.
