Domestic Knife wounds
Two people were sent to area hospitals for treatment after a domestic situation ended with knife wounds. Police responded to a call of a domestic incident on Piney Grove Road in Unicoi County at around six Wednesday evening. Sheriff Mike Hensley says one person was taken to Johnson City Medical Center and the other to Unicoi County Memorial hospital. The injuries are not life threatening. Hensley says the investigation is ongoing and that the names of the two people involved are not being released until further details are gathered. (cc)
