Kingsport Accident
A Kingsport family was involved in an accident caused by faulty brakes, but fortunately, the six escaped serious injury. 26-year-old Andrew E. Johnson's car crossed Lynn Garden Drive from Mullins Street and struck the curb. Three children in the car were not wearing their seatbelts, but their injuries were not serious. Johnson faces numerous charges, including not maintaining his vehicle, driving on a suspended license, and not properly restraining his children. Through donations all the children now have safety seats. (SH)
