Jail Cook With Drugs
A jail cook in Unicoi County is under arrest after she tried to smuggle drugs inside the facility. According to Sheriff Mike Hensley Faith A. Smith was caught attempting to bring drugs to the jail inmates after inmates that were found to be impaired were questioned by officers. A family member of an inmate also confessed to providing Smith the drugs to take in the jail. They say Smith had some sort of relationship to one of the families of the inmate and they had supplied Roxicodone and a syringe for her to take in the jail. Smith has been fired from her job, has been arrested and will appear in court later this week. (CC)
