Man Due in Court for Pulling Knife on Police Officers
Police say he threatened them with a knife when they tried to arrest him over child support charges. 36-year old James Rolly Ingram of Rogersville will have a preliminary hearing in court today. Hawkins County deputies tried to serve a warrant on August 24th and found Ingram hiding behind a door with a knife. The officers had to use force to get him to drop the weapon and he eventually gave in. Ingram still faces charges over failure to pay child support and has added three counts of aggravated assault and resisting arrest to that list. His girlfriend, Lisa Fugate was also charged in the incident. She told deputies Ingram wasn't home when they knocked on the door.
